Terms & Conditions

Last updated: July 23, 2026

1. Who we are

The CaliAide website and study platform (the "Service") is operated by Trina Henderson ("CaliAide", "we", "us"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

CaliAide is an independent study tool that helps candidates prepare for the California CNA exam through written practice questions, skills simulators, and mock exams. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or approved by the State of California, Credentia, Pearson VUE, or any official testing agency.

3. Accounts

You must be of legal age to enter into these Terms (or have permission from a parent/guardian). You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that happens under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service unlawfully or to infringe anyone's rights;
  • Send spam, fraudulent content, malware, or attempt to gain unauthorised access;
  • Scrape, crawl, or otherwise probe the Service beyond ordinary browser use;
  • Reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the Service or its content;
  • Circumvent technical limits, paywalls, or entitlement checks.

5. Intellectual property

The Service, including all questions, explanations, simulations, software, text, graphics, and branding, is owned by CaliAide or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial exam preparation while your account is in good standing.

6. Payments and subscriptions

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation, and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms and our Refund Policy.

Access packs (e.g. 24-hour, 7-day, 30-day) are one-time purchases that grant access for the stated duration from the date of purchase.

7. Service level and disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will produce any particular exam result. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay for a purchased plan, pose a security or fraud risk, or repeatedly violate our policies. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your account settings.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the amounts you paid us for the Service in the 6 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law (such as for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence).

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts located in California, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
